Presented here are comprehensive answers to some of the frequently asked questions that arose during the meetings held within the framework of the project “Timeline of the Georgian–Ossetian Conflict (1977–2008): Documents for Remembering and Understanding the Past.”

The project aimed to consolidate archival documents related to the Georgian–Ossetian conflict in a single repository and arrange them in chronological order. Documents and newspaper publications organized according to this principle allow interested parties to independently explore and analyze the events and processes of the period.

In parallel with making the archival materials available online, young researchers conducted investigations of the documents along several thematic directions. All three research reports have also been published on the project website.

We have compiled the questions most frequently raised during public meetings and provide their answers here. We hope that, alongside the documents and research reports, this compilation of questions will contribute to informed discussions surrounding the Georgian–Ossetian conflict and support the search for pathways toward the future.
