04.11.2025

Organized by the Youth Initiative Network “The 16th Element,” a meeting was held at Frontline Georgia with young researchers working in the fields of peacebuilding and conflict studies.

The aim of the meeting was to provide a platform for young researchers interested in these fields to exchange perspectives, and to identify their needs and challenges.

During the discussion, speakers reflected on the “Youth, Peace, and Security” agenda, explored the dynamics of current developments in Sokhumi and Tskhinvali, and discussed the needs of local youth. They also analyzed the issues of incompatible memories and identities within the context of conflicts, as well as the contradictions among historical narratives.

The meeting highlighted the significant potential of young researchers in the analysis of conflicts and the development of peacebuilding initiatives.

The meeting was held within the framework of the Institute for the Study of Nationalism and Conflicts’ project “Youth Peace Initiatives.”
