At the Davitian Private Secondary School in Bolnisi, the project “Opportunities Without Borders” was implemented. The project included several activities and actively engaged the entire school community, including representatives of ethnic minority groups.

Students organized masterclasses for parents on creating handmade crafts. A tea evening was also held, providing an informal space to discuss similarities and differences among various traditions, as well as existing stereotypes and ways to overcome them.

Based on real-life stories related to Abkhazia, students staged a forum theatre performance titled “Sentenced to Life.” The program also featured a film screening and discussion, along with a mini-festival that included an exhibition of handmade works. During the event, students performed traditional dances and songs from different ethnic communities.

These activities were carried out within the framework of the project “Education for Reconciliation,” implemented by the Institute for the Study of Nationalism and Conflicts with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands.

As part of the project, teachers participated in a series of training sessions where they received knowledge on peace education and conflict-sensitive approaches. They also learned how to design and implement peace initiatives. At the final stage, teachers had the opportunity to carry out their own peacebuilding initiatives in schools with internal funding support.
