Internship Paper by Andreas Halbig

Internship paper by Andreas Halbig, a trainee at the Institute for the Study of Nationalism and Conflicts, titled:
“A Study of Two Initiatives in the Franco-German Reconciliation Process and Their Comparison with Current Civil Society Initiatives in the Georgian-Abkhaz and Georgian–South Ossetian Contexts.”
“The first part of the paper provides a detailed discussion of the concept of reconciliation. The second part presents this concept through the lens of the post–Franco-German war period. To offer a comprehensive picture of reconciliation, two well-known initiatives are examined — the Franco-German Youth Office and the television channel ARTE. The third part focuses on the Georgian-Abkhaz and Georgian-Ossetian contexts, exploring similarities and differences compared to the Franco-German process and offering recommendations for achieving successful reconciliation.”
